Happy New Year

Have a safe and Happy New Year. Pat and I are staying home. We did have a nice dinner out with Sky, Renee, Chris and Cassidy.
Today was a very exciting day for me. I got to meet the newest member of our family. Dale and Joanne's son was born yesterday. He is so beautiful!
More pictures! More fun!

Hi everyone!

Christmas is just a few days away. I have posted new pictures of Cassidy, Angel, Pat and Angel on my blog. Just click on the picture screen. I wish I could get Cassidy to smile more. It's not as easy as it use to be. She is very busy taking it all in.
We are waiting for Dale and Joanne's baby, Zach to be born. He is due any day now. I saw a ultra sound picture of him yesterday and I could not believe how clear his face was. That was the first time I have ever seen a ultra sound in the advance stages. He kind of looks like me! Just kidding.
I hope all of you are looking forward to this Christmas. I know that our world has fallen on some hard times. So many of you, like myself, are focusing on the real meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Lord and Savior, family and friends. Let's hug alittle tighter, smile alittle bit more, laugh alttle louder, listen alittle bit harder, comfort others alittle bit more and complain alittle less. Lets look into each others eyes and hearts, I mean really take a good long look. The greatest gift we can ever receive or give are the three words I LOVE YOU. I thank all of you for your love, understanding (putting up with me) and loyal support. You make my world far richer than I could ever deserve.
Merry Christmas.
On Christmas morning lets all say "Happy Birthday Jesus" this day is for you.

"Dear Virginia:
" Your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age.
"They do not believe except what they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little.
"In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! How dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus.
There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The external light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies. You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus.
"The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in this world.
"You tear apart the baby's rattle to see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart.
"Only faith, poetry, love, romance can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
"No Santa Claus? Thank God he lives, and lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood."

Today Cassidy and I spent the afternoon together. I am so blessed to be able to be with her often. It helps alot that Chris and Renee live so close to us now. Angel was trying so hard to get Cassidy to chase after her. It is one of Angel's favorite games. Cassidy just giggles. When Papa came home Cassidy just kept looking at him and smiling and talking her special talk to him. It's so cute to watch.
The Christmas season is starting. The tree is up, the decorations hung, I started to bake yesterday and the shopping is started. I love this time of year. There is a warmth in my heart. I feel so content on a snowy afternoon at home with my granddaughter. Christmas Blessings to all of you.
